so many twists and suspense! every time i thought i had the plot figured out, i was wrong and kept changing my mind.
I really liked the dual timeline and how the past kept revealing more details.
I, however, felt like Brooke regressed as a character by the end where she was too flip floppy with her emotions. and there were some details that have some plot holes and felt like they were written in just to throw off the reader. but otherwise, it was a very enjoyable read! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and thoroughly entertained.

3.5. Read kinda YA but I wasn't mad, although the MC did come across as super naive with her stupid ass decision making. Didn't expect the plot twists though, and the epilogue!????

listens to this one on audio and enjoyed it! while some of the plot twists i did guess, there were still plenty i did not. i thought it was great pacing & i was always wanting to keep listening to see what was going to happen.
