It's a good story, but the pacing is off, and about halfway through, I started listening at 2x speed to get through it, even though Imogen Church is an excellent narrator. I didn't feel I got to know the suspects well enough, and the reader doesn't even meet most of them until close to the end. I definitely was not expecting how dark Sebastian's backstory is, and it took me by surprise, but I'm not sure it's a negative point. I'll read the next book in the series, but I'm not overly eager either.

The first two hours of this book could have been edited out completely without leaving out anything important. Not the best story but an ok conclusion gives it three stars.

Both the prose and narrator were not doing it for me. Only marking as DNF so I don't re add it to my tbr at some other point.
