My heart😭😭😭 this book was soo sweet.
I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. Since the first time they met these two characters had so much chemistry it was insane.

I found them both freaking adorable. Boone was always cooking for everyone and making sweets treats for Wylie and Wylie always managed to come up with a reason or ways to always be around Boone or just bump into him on the way to the bathroom. I loved how they took time to get to know each other a little bit and get comfortable. They were able to open up to one another and actually let each other in.

Not only were they adorable together but they were freaking hot. They had so much chemistry and tension that even a kiss between them was like fireworks going off. Not only were they amazing as a couple but they were even more amazing as individuals. Wylie was patient, caring and a hard worker. I loved how good he was with the horses and it showed a lot about him with how he wa sale to gain the trust of one of the horses that everyone wanted to stay away from. Boone was everything. He was such a caring person. He took on the cooking role in the farm and made sure everyone was fed and happy. It didnt matter if you were family, a stranger, if u worked there or just passing by he would make sure you were comfortable and fed.

Not only did I love them but I also loveeeee Boones family. They were so supportive of each other and didnt shy away from showing affection to one another. Them making sure EVERYONE knew their farm was open to everyone and that everyone was accepted was everything to me.

This is my first read by this author. I loved Wylie and Boone's story along with the secondary characters. We find ourselves in a place were people are loved and accepted regardless of who they love and that made this story particularly poignant. The little horse stole the show for me. This is a sweet and short and full of melting sugar story. When we get to the sugar, I was already invested in these two having a HEA. The sugar is fantastic and really delicious. I highly recommend this book if you are into insta love romances and especially if you are trying to diversify your TBR.

Cute and wholesome. But way too much winking! Like I understand it’s hot but someone was winking every five seconds it was kinda off putting.

M.A. Wardell's "Stirring Spurs" is a lovely, lovely book. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it also made me swoon. I absolutely adored the dynamic between the main characters, Boone and Wylie. I want to protect them at all costs!! They are such wonderfully written characters. The chemistry between them is so, so great, so palpable. Wylie has been a wanderer for quite some time, jumping from ranch workplace to workplace aimlessly. He has had a lot of trauma in his life, so the best way he knows how to live is to keep it moving. Boone is a caretaker who is staying right where he is at Rainbow Ranch, an inclusive space dedicated to acceptance and love no matter who you are. He and his siblings have fostered a terrific environment full of food, tenderness, and passion for their work. I loved the exploration of grief here, as well as the found family element. One of the best aspects is the connection between Wylie and Noodles and Dennis, two of the horses on the ranch. I loved watching him foster a relationship with Noodles, a horse who has otherwise been cast aside, who just needed a little extra bit of love. Some readers might see this as a little too insta-love/insta-lust-y, but I honestly didn't mind it. I can see the complaint, sure, but it didn't take me out of the story like insta-love usually does. I think the character development more than makes up for any negatives people may have! Be forewarned, this book WILL make you hungry! I cannot wait to come back to this universe. Loved this one!

Thank you to M.A. Wardell and Grey's Promotions for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

This was my first book by this author an it was very enjoyable. I loved his Author’s Note where he informed the reader to assume that we are in a world where love is love and everyone is accepted. How I wish this was our world now. That note sets us up to accept how there is a family of three brothers all gay and one queer sister. The ranch is called the Rainbow Ranch and they decorate it with the flags representing all the groups in the LBGT-Q community. This is a place where diversity is appreciated and accepted. So we have Boone who is the cook. Cooking is definitely his love language because he is always cooking and feeding everyone on the ranch. Wylie is an openly gay man who came to the ranch to work with the horses. He is not the settling down type. He’s a wanderer. However, once he and Boone admit their attraction and start to act on it. Boone is slowly convincing him that he needs to stay at Rainbow Ranch. This was a fast paced quick story. There was little to no drama or angst. Just a feel good story of two men finding their person and falling in love.

Thank you SO much to Grey Promotions & MA Wardell for the complimentary copy of this book!

This book is out tomorrow!

I had been itching to read a cowboy romance and getting approval for this ARC came at the perfect timing. I am no stranger to Wardell to work and when this was announced, I knew it was going to be delicious. And delicious it was in many ways!

“Now finish up so we can have dessert. Oh wait, you don't like sweets."
"I mean depends on what it is. And my mood."

The arrival of Wylie turned Boonie's life into a slight tailspin. Sure he had relationships with different men that came and went but there was something about Wylie that wasn't like the others. And the same went for Wylie. He has spent the last few years running from home and traveling from town to town working on different ranches but this place was special.  The flirty banter & the intimate moments were *chef's kiss*. Wardell has this special way of how he frames the intimate moments and not only that but showing us on page the vulnerable conversations between the characters.

As much as the book focus on our starring couple Boone & Wylie. We also got to see the familiar bond between all the siblings. They truly just love and respect each other. They built this community where all are welcome and I know that was a big factor in Wylie decision to work on the ranch.

"Boone, I want you to be my buckaroo. My cookie. My guy. This is all I want."

Reading this book made me hungry! The way that Wardell describe the food that Boone would make for those on the ranch just sounded so good! I feel like I need the recipe for the vanilla cake because if a horse loved it, then I know I would love it.

I thought the length and pacing of the book was perfect! Could I have used a full length novel? Sure but I felt that Wardell was able to develop the characters in under 300 pages.

This book is one of four novellas (that we know of). And what is unique with this series is that 2 other authors are taking on the other novellas. The next book comes out in 2 weeks on July 15th.
