J.P Delaney simply Rocks!!!!

I appreciated that this wasn’t the traditional domestic thriller. Pete and Maddie find out that their 2 year old son was switched at the NICU, accidentally or purposefully. The other parents start off friendly, but it quickly turns Fatal Attraction when the husband Miles seems to be off kilter.

The series of events didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. Would this really happen? Why didn’t that happen (it really felt like Pete and Maddie didn’t seem to care much for their biological child)? And I have no experience with the British court system, so I just decided to go along for the ride and not overthink the events.

Unlike a lot of domestic thrillers, this brought up a lot of emotions in me. What would you think, say and do if your child was switched at the hospital?

Pete and Maddie’s perspectives often seemed to be very similar, so often I lost track of who was the perspective holder.

This plot seemed sooooo good, but this book was meh for me. It was okay.

Boring....
This book had so much potential at first, but as I started reading, everything just dragged on for too long, and that made me not finish it.

3.5

Took a little while for me to get into this but after the first third or so it started to pick up and I ended up really enjoying it.

This story involves two sets of parents living their worst nightmare. Decisions have to be made, and to choose one means letting go of the other. An impossible situation that earns 4.5 stars from me! I can’t even imagine!
