This is a fast paced thriller, involving lots of family drama and deceit.
I really enjoyed the character building around Cleo and Katrina’s relationship and seeing both their points of view whilst we begin to understand what has happened to Katrina.
The plot is fast paced and doesn’t loose momentum throughout and can definitely be a one sitting read.

Only one of my theories was a little bit right in that I was suspicious of a specific man FROM THE GET GO, and I could not have anticipated HOW and WHY, except for the older bit and I KNEW HE WAS SUS, I just knew it!! But HOW is absolutely fucking vile.
Weirdly after saying that, overall I had a good time with this thriller. I love stories abt complicated mother/daughter relationships. Both these women (esp Cleo, babe pls) rlly need to get better taste in men, tho.

Maybe a little too much going on, but it was definitely unexpected. I really enjoyed the different narratives and the mother-daughter perspective. It’s really a 3.5, but I feel ok about rounding up for this one.
I started this book and was really nervous I was going to hate it. The character just rubbed me the wrong way, and I was having issues feeling engaged in it. But I pushed through and was satisfied with the twists, character development, and the ending.

I really loved the two timelines and the multitude of suspects. And the two narrators were great!
