4.5 stars

Let me start off by saying that when a book is co-authored, I always try to see if I can figure out which author wrote what. I've read everything Corinne Michaels has written, and only one other book by Melanie Harlow, and I could not single anything out. That's a good thing! Hold You Close was a fantastic enemies-to-lovers/second chance that was cohesively written by two fantastic authors.

"London is the sun, the stars, the light at thee end of the tunnel that I'm so desperate to reach, but know I'll never touch."

So in my opinion, London was kind of an ice queen and rightfully so. Right off the bat, she's burned by Ian so badly that I wanted to punch him in the junk and not look back. Her best friends children are in her care while she's on vacation, tragedy strikes and she's got to call Ian to help. Ian is left in charge of the three and everyone is reeling from sudden loss, changes, and heartache.

I’m just thinking about Ian. God, he was awesome...when he wasn’t being an ass. That’s right, I said it! He was fantastic when he and London were in a good place. When they were on the outs? Ugh. Ian, I wanted to punch you in the dick. It happens though. He was still hot as fuck and made me swoon, especially when he was getting better at the parenting thing.

"Loving Ian was never really a choice, though, He's always been the guy for me."

Hold You Close was a fantastic ride. With great character development and a fantastic storyline, I could not help but turn the page. I felt the sadness that Ian and London felt. I felt for the kids for the transitions they had to make. I felt the pain and shift London felt when letting her guard down and letting Ian back in. Those are the best stories, and Hold You Close is one of them.

So many emotions

This book brought it all. Love, hate, shock, love, yes I said it twice. I don’t want to spoil the story. These two authors did an amazing job at making me empathize with all the characters. My heart was ripped out with what they all went through but I was so glad at the end. The bonus epilogue made me cry happy tears so don’t forget to read that as well.

   | I always a fan of these 2 authors. But in Hold You Close, I am disappointed. The story is promising. Something swoony romantic read. But... the characters kill all the feeling. Especially London. See she is a bitch. A selfish bitch who throws out all of her angry to the world and self pitying herself.

She thinks she is the smartest, most caring person in the world. That even Ian can not live to her expectation. Ian is a dumb hero. I do not know what is his attraction towards London. For someone who has an ex wife who is similar to London,he is gluten for punishment.

I know that the authors try to bring these ugly side of the character to heighten the frustration aspect, and dozing the story with so much romance galore. Well, it does not work.

Life As We Know It

If you’ve seen the movie, you know the correlation. If you haven’t seen the movie, read this first, THEN go drool over Josh Duhamel

I absolutely loved this book, the enemies to romance book always are my favorite. I love the aspect of ian and london taking care of sabrina’s kids together, and loving those kids as their own. This was overall such an amazing book! Definitely will give me a book hangover

This was such a good story of how a tragedy can open people's eyes and mouths to see and say what they have always felt in their heart.
