I love each of these cats, and seeing how each of them think can be heartbreaking. Showing the different perspectives makes the story deeper since there is no evil villain—just scared or misguided leaders. I love the end at the four stones. I am curious to see if Gray Wing has Stoneteller powers or just the kit.

This book gave some major world building development that leads us into the world we entered in the first series. The battles are dark and filled with tension.

Several characters also get interesting developments. I can't wait to see how they grow, and am interested in what happens next.

My complaint of she cats, especially mothers, being killed off, continues. I can't give these books a higher rating due to that. It's been a cheap gimmick in this series that's overplayed.
