Honestly, I think I don't gel with this author's writing. Whereas with You Deserve Each Other, I had to DNF if it by chapter three because the characters were so damn insufferable, in Twice Shy, they're so freaking sweet it's a snooze fest.

I am all for kind-hearted, good-natured characters, but this was too much. There wasn't much conflict, nor was there much romance.

There wasn't anything particularly wrong with this romance, nor was there anything memorable/great.

Pure fluff.

Wow. Just wow.

This book goes to my all-time favorites list.

I did look forward to reading this but now I can't believe how much I loved it. The ending gave me chills. Good chills.

I love the characters' dynamic, their interactions, relationship, everything.

God, I found myself another favorite author.

Also, Wesley is perfect. He's perfect. Just the way he is.

No, wait, he's not. And that's perfectly okay. I love him.

it was cute !! a little renovation and treasure hunt together is fun but i found myself wanting more from them

Can I add Wesley Khoeler to cart? And can get a free shipping?

This story is so sweet I got a toothache. It was sweet and simple.

Maybell is the great niece of Violet Hanobar and she left her an enormous land and manor. She quit her job and immediately moved in but only to find a huge, gorgeous and grumpy guy named Wesley who is the groundskeeper that also inherited the land and manor.

I am inlove with the simplicity of the story because there was no rival, no pointless arguments. It was two people cleaning, fixing and planning what to do with the property. It was nice and easy and HELLA SWOONY!

The writing style really worked for me. I tend to like 2 POV's or third person to know both parties thoughts and feelings but Sarah Hogle knows what she's doing with only just Maybell POV.

Wesley outdid himself with that surprised like "yes sir, we love that"
She build the story and drop us into honey and it was perfect!

“This cannot be sustainable. How do couples spend whole years feeling like this about each other? How do they not combust?”.

I feel like combusting myself. This was so freaking sweet and adorable. The characters were too precious. Starting out as a grumpy / sunshine romance, the two characters meet after both were named as inheritors to an old estate by the heroine’s great aunt. Maybell Parrish is a dreamer who dislikes confrontation but soon butts heads with Wesley Koeher, a grumpy, quiet, avoids-people-at-all-cost, landscaper as the two work to fix up the estate into a running hotel. If there was ever a fictional character that sets expectations exceedingly high for men in the real world, Wesley Koehler is it.

Seriously this was so sweet and endearing. Literally wishing I could drop everything to fix up an abandoned building in the Smoky Mountains and turn it into a five star bed and breakfast.
