Very cute

3.75 out of 5 stars

this was a cute read and i had a good time reading it -- especially at the latter half of the book! it was just a little bit hard to distinguish between maybell's fantasies and what was actually happening sometimes! it (the fantasies) was a good idea, but there was just something off to me about the execution! i just found maybell a liiiiiittle bit annoying at first not going to lie, she eventually got better as the book went on (especially the latter half) and some things just did not make sense to me.

i definitely enjoyed this cute read in between reading heavier books; however i just had a few issues with it! i picked up this book because i LOVED the author's previous book (You Deserve Each Other), and to be honest I still like that one better. i'd still love to give any other future books of hers a try though

Cute story, kinda all over the place though.

I give this book 3.5 stars. I loved the characters, especially Wesley. His shyness was so cute and is a quality I personally melt over. This was a quick read, so I felt as if I was lacking the ending I felt like these characters deserved. Although the ending was cute, I wanted to know more about what happened with the hotel. I kinda got confused when she would go into her alternate universe, but that could have just been me lol. Super cute and fast read that made me laugh and swoon.

This book was the perfect thing at the perfect time. The book is primarily a contemporary romance novel. A dear friend got it for me for my birthday and I am so happy it was this one.

The book surrounds the events of a woman who has worked for the same vacation resort for years now. Even after a horrible event with a friend brings her a promotion she is still very much not in control of her life. When all of a sudden a lawyer comes to inform her that she has inherited a property and home from a great aunt she has missed for over fifteen years.

She takes a risk and essentially leaves her old life believing that this is a gift and a time to move on. When she arrives though, she meets the man who has co-inherited the property with her and has very different wishes for it. They start to argue along the way slowly fulfilling the wishes of the great aunt who has left them both a to-do list.

If you do not like books that are a tad slower paced and focus only a couple characters directly then this book may not be for you. But I enjoyed the hyperfocus of this story. Very lovely character development as well.
