In complete honesty, I hit a lull right around the middle of this book, so it took me a bit longer to read than it may have otherwise.

This book is quite lengthy and contains an astounding amount of context and detail (this can be good or bad depending on your preference). While the detail did lend to the world-building, it did tend to feel like it was dragging on at times.

However; the story, world-building, and loveable characters more than make up for the lengthiness of the book. Once I got out of my slump, I was totally engrossed in this story and admittedly shed quite a few tears once I reached the end.

Overall, if you're going to read this book: get cozy, grab a cup of tea, and buckle in for a captivating story. Get ready to fall in love with the world that Stephen King created, alongside all of the wonderful characters, ESPECIALLY Radar.

Audiobook. Borrowed from the library in March and only got about halfway through before the loan expired. So I went back in the waitlist and managed to resume listening 6 MONTHS LATER!

First Stephen King.

I liked the writing. It was an audiobook and the narration was good.

I liked Charlie the main character and Mr bodiwich.

The plot was just ok.

Stephen King writing an Isekai was not something I ever expected. If it wasn't for his name value, this would be the most forgettable story ever. Still better than The Dark tower loool
