I don’t think a ruby dixon book has ever steered me wrong lol
Great Risdaverse story, makes me want to reread some and also the Corsairs series.
Okay so this one was a little different than the typical Risda romance! I loved it! It was a fun installment for our beloved series. One thing I noticed was that the MMC didn’t seem completely in love with the FMC, at least not the way they usually are in Ruby’s books (completely infatuated with their mate). Still, their friendship was a nice touch and the political aspect of the story was interesting throughout the entire book. Can’t wait to read the next! 4.5 ⭐️

Loved THIS! I enjoyed this story immensely!
I was so sad to miss it when it was a serial, but unlike when the serials began in 2020- it just wasn’t as easy for me to keep up with…. And after it was released- knowing how long it was, I was nervous to begin but I shouldn’t have been. Every single chapter leaves you wanting more! Ruby Dixon is such a fantastic writer and I just adored this story and the twists and turns. Both Maeve and Zhur were really intriguing main characters- very different! A spoiled prince and an extrovert. They were funny! I laughed a lot. I just really loved this one!
I’m extremely excited to read the brother’s story and all of the other side characters we got to know! I’m curious if this one may create a side series also with how it ended? One thing is for sure, If Ruby writes it, I’ll devour it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the Risdaverse. I went in blind without having read the blurb, and I was pleasantly surprised by the plot. Maeve and Zhur were both strong characters. Their story was funny at times, a bit sad at other times, and full of adventure. ‘When She’s Common’ was originally written as a serial, so each chapter leaves readers wanting more. Despite the book’s length, I never felt bogged down or bored. It was an adventure from start to finish. I’m eager to read other stories connected to this one!
