Lots of good stories, not a lot of practical how-to.

This is a goldmine. We generally look at “productivity “ as a specialized topic. This is a must read for people who would prefer a generalized view or tight integration of productivity knowledge

Anecdotal evidence first tested with top performing athletes and now transcending professional and personal ranks, proves the necessity for self care and periods of recovery in our everyday life IF we intend to be happy, perform our best, serve others, and live a fulfilling life.

I loved this book — it’s full of stories of remarkable transformation brought about by minor adjustments and the science to support the process thereby making it a duplicatable system.

This book was suggested to me by someone at work at the right time. The material is engaging and useful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who feels like their life could use any sort of physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual renewal.

Great read. A powerful disruptive idea: we should manage energy instead of time. But the idea comes together with a compelling model on how to achieve it, with relevant real case examples. I am already applying learnings from the book

It wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't exactly a precise book. Most of the best information is in the first two chapters, and there are some terms that don't make much sense...for instance, the idea of "spiritual energy" is defined informally as "stuff you really really care about", which I don't think you would call spiritual. In fact, the authors seem to go out of their way to make their arguments as secular as possible. It was worth a skim if you're good at it, but it wasn't great by any means.

A must read for high achievers

I have ran into many somewhat successful people in my life. However, many of these people clearly had room for improvement in their lives. They are always the first ones to say that they don't have time for exercise, eating healthy, or rest. This is obviously flawed and is just a plain excuse in my opinion.

This book clearly outlines why you need to work on yourself first if you want to take it to the next level or not burnout.

If you are someone who thinks they do not have time for improving yourself, you need to read this book.
