I listened to this audiobook because Richard Armitage is one of the narrators; overall my reaction to the book can be summed up as "lol."

I didn't realize until moments ago that I've already read a book by this author that I was also unimpressed with, so given that Feeney is 0/2 from me on non-idiotic plotting, she and I will now part ways.

(Unless Richard Armitage narrates another, in which case FINE, I'll almost certainly listen to it, but I'll be mad about it.)

Rounded up because I get the appeal. Unlikable characters and I figured it out.

In an attempt to rekindle their relationship, Adam and Amelia travel to the Scottish Highlands to spend a weekend together. As tensions between the rise and a storm brews, they must confront the secrets they've been keeping.

I really liked how this was told, with the present day timeline showing the dynamic between Amelia and Adam now, and the background being slowly fed through letters written on the couple's wedding anniversary. I thought it was a really clever way to build up the suspense and it definitely kept me wanting to know more. The last 100 pages or so were so full of twists and turns that I didn't see coming at all! It was a wild ride but I still feel like I have some questions. A few more chapters would have really pulled everything together.

This book had me gasping in shock multiple times and left me unsure of who was telling the truth in the end. Gives me big book of the year vibes.
