March 9th makes 2 years since I read Volume 13. I really should've gotten the last couple before picking it back up. I was totally freaking lost.

I caught up well enough to follow. And got really excited for certain character hating fans. Didn't work out so well, but ah.

Douglas hands control of the community over to Rick who sets everybody to making preparations for the incoming horde. Despite their defenses, the zombies manage to breach the wall and things look bleak, until everyone bands together to thin the herd down to a manageable number. Rick decides that if they work harder to develop their defenses they really can make a city safe from zombies and he excitedly tells his plans to an unconscious Carl, who's recovering from a gunshot wound to the face.
