I really enjoyed this book. It's the second book in the Billionaire Bachelors series. There are many funny moments in this one, but also serious, get you right in the heart moments. Also it's about second chances. I really liked Cal and Jules together. They had a ton of chemistry. I also loved the scenes with Cal and his god children. Those are some of the heartwarming scenes. You can feel the love he has for those children. It's a well balanced read that I highly recommend.

So if you have read the first you know the deal. The Agency helps people out of tricky situations and Caleb seems to find himself in need of help. He needs a fake fiancé and fast. Olivia has Jules in mind as she is a bit down on her luck job wise, and after her friend Hallie already went through it, bagging herself her man in the process, she thinks what the hell, why not.

So Caleb is in a custody battle for his godchildren Lottie and Ezra. Their parents died in a car crash and he was meant to get sole custody but it seems their Aunt Vivian wants to fight him on this. Whether she really wants the kids or just to look after their family’s funds is another matter entirely. He thinks his best chance to show he is capable is to create a stable image, as in with a wife kind of stable, and not the playboy image of his past. Good job his buddy Max has just the person to put him in contact with. Olivia I think you’re about to become a matchmaker again. I wonder if she can match herself soon too?

So we mix things up by showing Cal had one very hot night in Vegas that didn’t stay in Vegas it seems. I liked that it kept going back to it in between the present day and not in one go. Like it’s Cal and Jules remembering more things the longer they are back in each other’s company.

When Cal hires someone to be his fake fiancé he gets a shock with who turns up. Only the one-night stand from Vegas he could never forget – the same goes for Jules. He might have hired her for a job but with the past they have you just knew it wasn’t going to stay that way. Court dates are never fun and with the kids future, and his, on the line things get tense. Just ten days and then they will have their answer. He loves them dearly and wants to step up but isn’t too keen on Jules’ helpful insights on what he might be lacking. His car and apartment being more for a playboy and not so much a father figure to be to name a few. He might not like the advice but at least he takes it to heart – well not straight away but he gets there.

A home is created and Jules has been thrown in at the deep end really as this isn’t what she thought she’d be doing. After a situation at the law firm she worked at – aka penisgate – she found herself out of a job and lacking funds. Hallie might have mentioned it to Olivia and well here she is. She might keep saying it’s just a job but it’s not just Cal she has to hold back feelings for. She’s getting attached to the kids as well. They’ve been through a lot and she can see how much Cal is trying and wants to do everything to help him win the case. She just needed to be a bit more aware of how dirty Vivian was willing to play.

Vegas three years ago might have been hot but it’s nothing compared to the fire connection this time round. Chemistry is one thing but when feelings come to the surface things can get tricky. You could literally feel the tension growing almost by the minute with how they acted around each other just waiting for that spark to ignite them. Oh boy does it spark!

They both seem to be creating something neither thought they’d have, a family. It might have started as a job with a good paycheck but from the second they clocked each other again you knew it was going to be anything but. How long can they keep their hands – among other things – to themselves? Not long by my guessing with just the looks they give each other.

Another fun hot read to chill out with. Thought it was funny when Ezra found ‘balloons’ in Caleb’s draw, “Can you make a dog?” You can bet he can make them. An interesting group of characters that link to past and future books so everything is connected which I like. Can be read as standalones though. Onto Olivia’s story next, let’s see what happens when the boss gets all heated up with her new client.

I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

I am enjoying this series, the Billionaire Bachelors. This one is a charming quick read that had some humor and a little angst. It’s a second chance romance with a couple that have an instant attraction from the get-go when they met three years ago. Times flies, and with work commitments they meet up again in strange circumstances. But that attraction is still prominent even when it’s now unprofessional.

Cal is in a jam, and needs someone proficient in being his fake fiancé for 10 days. Jules is in between jobs, so when Olivia calls her to help Cal out, she agreed not fully knowing what was install for her. Mistakes are made, and at a price for both parties.

As I said, it is a very quick read and one that is full of sweet moments between them. Of course, when there is angst, there is also a dilemma. I know I said it with the first book, and I feel I have the same worriment again that I want the hero to work harder in winning back his sole mate. In saying that, I am eager to read Olivia and Ryan’s story.

*I am grateful for the copy provided by the author for my honest opinion.

Billionaire Bachelors:  Book 2

Even though this is the second book in the series, it can totally be read as a stand alone.

Hot Daddy is the story of Jules and Cal, which we meet briefly in book one in this series.

I really enjoy Lila's books! They are fantastic examples of true romantic comedies, which is my favorite genre.  I love to laugh and swoon and sigh and you get all of that and more with this story!

Jules is what every gal wants to be! Successful, smart and takes no crap from anyone! Even if it gets her into a bit of trouble.  I love her feistiness!

Cal is the ultimate former playboy and such a swoony hero! The love he has for his god children is beautiful!

Cal and Jules' chemistry is off the charts! From the time they have met in the past to present day.  It makes the story more fun to see that even time can't slow them down!

I liked seeing past characters, but not in an overbearing way that takes away from the main story, it was like catching up with old friends!

I am so enjoying this series and cannot wait to see Olivia's story next!

Thank you for your stories Lila!

4.5 Who Needs Ovaries CROWNS

This is my FAVORITE Billionaire Bachelors book. Everything from the story-line to the characters is absolutely delightful, and I found myself smiling and swooning from the moment I opened this book.

Cal and Jules together are just perfection. Cal is the perfect hero. Lila Monroe hit the right blend of playboy swagger, dutiful "dad", and romantic gentleman. I love him to bits. And, Jules is the absolutely perfect for Cal and the two kids. But what really makes this story fun is the chemistry not just between the hero and heroine but between them and the two kids as well. I love watching them become this little family.

The story is everything that a romantic comedy should be. It is light and fun and super sexy. Readers get the family moments that will make lovers of single dad romances swoon off their feet, there are moments of intimacy that are perfect and HOT, and there is a good story-line. With most romantic comedies, the plot development is expected, and the couple does move from lust to love pretty quickly, but it isn't enough to deter me. I still thoroughly enjoyed this book.

If you need something light and fun and steamy, Hot Daddy should be sitting on your kindle right now. It delivers on all three.

This could have been another one of those billionaire books... but Lila Monroe manages to bring a realistic quality to this heartwarming story.

I was skeptical, believing the story was going to be predictable and cookie cutter, but I was pleasantly proven wrong.

What you'll find in this book is a hot as Sin Bachelor and a feisty heroine when put together combust! Their chemistry is off the charts.

What I loved more than the developing relationship between Cal and Jules were the interactions between Lottie and Ezra and the adults. The children really grounded the story and made it one that burrowed deep into my heart.

This was a story I won't soon forget. The only thing missing was an epilogue devoted to the main characters more than a setup for the next book in the series.

Lila Monroe has quickly become one of my most favorite romantic comedy authors over the last year, and I’m always super excited when she has a new release. Hot Daddy is the second book in the Billionaire Bachelor series, and focuses on Cal and Jules. We briefly met these two in Very Irresistible Playboy, and I’ve been super curious to see where these two would end up.

Hot Daddy plays into the whole fake relationship trope which is probably my most favorite romance trope. Cal is a billionaire godfather, in search of a fake fiancée. Jules has just lost her job, could really use the money, so she’s the perfect candidate to pose as the perfect wife to be. What comes next is a fun fest of a fake relationship with just the right touch of steaminess to make it perfect.

Cal finds himself suddenly thrust into fatherhood, and in the midst of a court battle for custody. However, Cal’s always been a bit of a playboy, so his fatherly image could definitely use some work. Despite his past with woman, I really thought Cal was a genuine guy with a really big heart. He was sweet and caring, and I loved seeing him step into the role of parent, after the sudden death of his best friend. It really showed a lot of growth in his character and proved just how loveable of a guy he really was.

Lila Monroe writes some of the best female characters ever, and Jules was no exception. She’s funny, quirky, and fierce and doesn’t hold back. Even though a run in with the son of one of the partners in her law firm has left her jobless, she still pulls herself up by her bootstraps and figures out a solution to her problems. It’s this kind of tenacity that makes her so likable, and the perfect match for Cal.

If you haven’t read anything yet by Lila Monroe, what are you waiting for! Hot Daddy is a perfect place to start and is definitely a book that will have you both laughing and swooning!

What a week Jules is having. She lost her job with no prospects in sight, is in need of a roommate and finds herself standing face to face with the one man she never thought to see again. Pretending to be his devoted fiance. She's in over her head and it could end up costing her, her heart. Lila Monroe keeps it sexy while making it cute. Hot Daddy has enough naughtiness to keep me tempted and hits on the right emotions to have me craving more.

This book was a lot of fun! It’s a sexy and flirty romp about a fake engagement that turned out real, with two adorable kids who were the reason for the deal. Although at first, the writing felt a little rough, like a novice writer, the author found her pace and style and then the book flowed nice and steady and fun.

Jules is an upcoming lawyer in the New York firm of Harper, Wells & Milstein. She was working in a case with the son of the managing partner, and one day late at work, she had a close encounter with the guy who had his jewels hanging out of his pants. He was attempting a pick up and what he got was a black eye. Jules got fired, or should we say, encouraged to resign. With no other prospects, she accepts a proposal from Olivia, an acquaintance who runs a dating service. The proposal involves a fake engagement to the CEO of McAdams automotive, who is involved in a custody case.

Caleb McAdams used to be a playboy, when he was in the Formula One running circuit. He’s now grown up and cleaned up his act, but he’s afraid that his previous reputation will harm his custody of his godchildren. Ezra and Lottie are the children of his best friends who died in a car accident a few months ago. The children have an aunt who is challenging his custody, insisting they will be better off with a blood relative. Cal wants to honor his friends’ request and also, he loves those kids and wants to do right by them.

When Jules travels to Boston to meet up with Caleb, she’s whisked right off to the court to the custody hearing. When she arrives, she meets her fake fiancee and has a shock: Caleb McAdams is no other than a one-night stand she had three years ago, and the best sexual partner she has ever had. Since Jules needs the money and Cal is desperate for the help, they proceed with the deal, and a lot of chemistry, hot and sexy tense moments ensue.

The children are adorable and endear themselves to Jules fast. Initially she was a little reluctant to get much involved with them, but experience with a bunch of nephews and nieces made her the expert on kids, so she had to help Cal navigate the first days.

The book has several alternating chapters in which the action flashes back three years and we get to see how Jules and Cal met in Las Vegas and had their fling. Cal had never been able to forget Jules, because for him, it was an unforgettable night, too. There are also chapters in different POV, so we get to see what Jules and Cal feel about the other. There was much bickering, sex play, fun times, noisy children. Then life intruded and they had to get their grown up hat on. It was a fun book to read.

This series is 2 for 2 now. This one is a quick read sort of second chance romance and a some angst.

Cal and Jules had met 3 years before in Las Vegas. He was her first one night stand and she was the best one night stand he’s ever had. She never really knew who he was.

Fast forward couple years and Jules is hired to be Cal’s fake fiancée to help him get custody of his godchildren. It was funny when they saw each other and they recognized one another.

There’s a lot that goes on, they actually pick up from their time in Las Vegas and then they are issues they have to deal with it. A slight misunderstanding separates them but then the kids actually get them back together. It’s a cute read some emotions and some angst.

Can’t wait for Book 3 in this series.
