Hot Daddy

**received an arc in exchange for an honest review**

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hot Daddy is sexy, fun story about a guy who needs to clean up his imagine fast with the help of a fake fiancé. This was a great romantic comedy with two main characters who will capture your heat and you will be rooting for the whole way. You won’t want to put this book down.

Jules is working her way up to be a serious lawyer but trouble comes her way in the form of a partner’s son. When she suddenly finds herself with time on her hands and no income, she begins to get desperate for any type of job. Including becoming someone’s fake fiancé.

Cal wants to keep his godchildren and the only way he believes he can do that is by hiring a fake fiancé. When he finds out Jules is going to be his fiancé he knows he is in for a wild ride. He never forgot her from that night years ago and now he has a chance not only to get his godchildren but maybe to get the girl also. He just needs to convince her.

Jules and Cal’s relationship begins to grow and they decide that maybe they should give each other a chance. But just when they think everything is clicking into place, the bottom falls out and threatens the small chance they have. Will they fight for one another and for the family they have started? Or will they let their chance go by?

I've been struggling with my reading commitments this last week or so. I wasn't sure if it was me or the books - and I've spent more time finding ways to avoid some of them than it would have taken just to read the damn things. However once I picked this up I was hooked almost immediately and didn't struggle to get through it at all.

Lila Monroe has a wonderfully warm, sexy and down-right amusing writing style. Her characters simply jump of the page and you immediately want to be BFF's with them. This was also pretty much an insta-love story (ok 10 days) and usually those stories just don't work for me. I don't know what magic Ms M weaves but I totally believed in it for Cal and Jules.

The love story is sweet though not in a tooth-ache inducing way. There is also enough steam to make this definitely NSFW, though you're more likely to snort coffee out your nose at the witty lines this contains.

I say I need a cold shower and a damn good f***, but only one of those is on the menu tonight, and damn, if it isn't the most agonising "choose your own adventure" of all time.

Jules and Cal made me laugh, they made me swoon, they hurt my heart and they brought me joy. The only way this would have been better for me is to have prolonged the angsty parts and put my heart through the wringer more. I know, I'm weird wanting to be upset by a book - it just means the make-up scenes are so much sweeter though.

Whilst Hot Daddy references characters in the previous BB book, this can easily be read as a stand alone. However once you've read it you will more than likely want to read the rest of this author's work, you'd be a fool not to.

Like every book I read by Lila Monroe, Hot Daddy was an addictive read. This is the kind of story you read in one go. It is as sweet as it is sexy and Cal delivers exactly what you expect from the title : a caring and hot daddy.

Lawyer Jules Robinson is a strong woman who finds herself in a tricky situation at work which leaves her financially in trouble. Soon after that, she’s offered a job she couldn’t imagine herself doing but can’t refuse. Turns out fate has a great sense of humor as she discovers her new boss is the one night stand she had in Vegas and didn’t forget. That’s how she finds herself playing the role of fake fiancee for billionaire Cal McAdams.

Jules and Cal had an amazing connection, you could just feel it and it was so nice to read. I love fake relationship romances and I love it especially when the couple had a past relationship. Add adorable children to the mix and you have a swoon-worthy romance. Lottie and Ezra were the cutest and made this story even more addictive.

The only thing I regret about this story is that it was too short. I felt like I needed more details in certain scenes. I wanted the author to drag things a bit more and let us feel how the relationship developed. I felt like it went all really quickly and it did disturb me a bit.

But in overall, it was a fun and sexy romance!

Jules needs a job to pay for this thing called life. After getting let go from her job, she is presented with a job she just can’t refuse. A pretend finance for a man trying to gain custody of his godchildren. Little does Jules know that she already knows this man, intimately.

Cal is in desperate need of a fake fiance to show that he’s cleaned up his act and is capable of becoming a family with his two godchildren who lost their parents tragically. In walks Jules, the unforgettable one night stand from a few years back to play pretend with him. However, no matter how they try to portray their relationship, Cal & Jules' chemistry is still undeniable and destiny has plans for their future.

This is my first Lila Monroe book and I am definitely a fan! I was completely engrossed in the story from the first page. I loved Cal and Jules banter, chemistry, the kids, hell, I loved everything about this book!! Hot Daddy is the perfect blend of sexy, funny and swoon worthy moments that left me wanting more!

Hot Daddy was a pretty cute read with some sweet and emotional moments.

I couldn't WAIT to read this one since I heard there'd be kids in it.

I had a love/hate relationship with the two main characters, ESPECIALLY the heroine. I couldn't really connect with Jules. I couldn't... exactly... put my finger on it. Then there were times when they didn't think before they acted that made me want to put them in a timeout or something. Cal quickly made me fall for him because of how he acted with the kids. He had this hot, goofy, and alluring presence about him. The kids, however STOLE the book for me. I would've liked more moments with them.

I am intrigued for the next book in the Billionaire Bachelors series involving Olivia and Ryan. I'm anxious to see their story play out.

This book was so fun with enough emotion and drama to keep it going but not enough to be overwhelming! It was a much needed quick read.

I love fake relationship stories and this one was very enjoyable! By adding in some fun, trouble-making kids, and some unsuspecting curveballs, I ate this story up in just two sittings.

Jules is in a tight spot after a jerk ruined her last job for her. Now, she’s trying to keep the lines drawn between her and billionaire, Cal. They both attempt to keep it from getting romantic and just deal with the business at hand. However, they struggle and it is so much fun to watch!

This was my first read by Lila Monroe and I’m so glad I picked it up! I will be reading much more of her work in the future!

If you’re looking for a quick, sweet, read I highly recommend you pick this up!

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first in the series. Once again, we have the premise of the two main characters being in a business relationship, and having a fake relationship. Only this time around, there are reasons why they have an instant connection - they had a sexy as hell one night stand in Vegas 3 years ago.

Also the fact that Cal clearly loves his god-children, and wants to win custody of them for all the right reasons, really makes a huge difference for me in this one. His and Jules connection was awesome, and their connections with the kids were fabulous as well.

Those kids, they were adorable, and all the things you would expect of children at that age, and also going through the situation they are. That whole part of the story was very real, and very easy to read.

I just found this whole book very fast and easy to read, and I really liked all the characters. Or at least, the ones we were meant to like anyway.

Would recommend.
