Did I enjoy the book? YES. Was it necessary to have 770 pages? No👹 tbh I could do without a couple of the spicy scenes-the book could have ended earlier. A large chunk in the middle is all about creating plans to destroy/trap Kolis that got a little repetitive imo. But the last 30% tho👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻so much tension and prophecy revelation!!
As much as I want to say you can skip FBAA to enjoy FAF, you need to fully jump down the rabbit hole to thoroughly enjoy FAF. In fact, I’d pick FAF over FBAA any day.
I say this with all the love I have for JLA: please end the series already🥲😭 do not pop another book or spin-off series. Wrap it up in FBAA and Awakening and let’s call it a day please?🥹 I cannot keep re-reading everything to refresh my memory😭😭 we’re 10 books in this interconnected universe and IM EXHAUSED😂😭😂😭

4.5⭐️ I am so glad to have so many of my questions answered (although now I have some new ones…) and love all of these characters so so much. I think she had a LOT to wrap up in this book and I may have liked a little more info about what happened after the end of this one, but it was already so long so I get why she did it that way. I’m a little sad that it’s over, but I know we’ll see them again in the next blood and ash book, whenever that may be.
