It’s so slow and way too many sex scenes. Someone is literally trying to destroy the world and you can’t control yourself for 5 minutes😩

I’ve loved the story of Nyktos and Sera, but I think I have outgrown the writing style of this author. It felt like there was way too much exposition and chapters devoted entirely to talking. And some of the history and world building has gotten so convoluted, it feels like she’s now trying to clarify it from working backwards. Like it seems like there was not a lot of planning ahead when she wrote these books (FBAA included). I love her characters though which is why it still managed three stars.

DNF at 19%. Aly, how can you give a book 1 star when you didn’t even finish it??? Well because I suffered through the most cringe worthy smut imaginable & the plot was nonexistent. I’m so sorry, I really really tried but I simply couldn’t do it. JLA, sis, I say this with love, please stop dragging this world out. Both books needed to be trilogies.

bizarre final book to the series. sera didn’t feel like sera at many points. ash felt different too in ways. and just… so many anxious thoughts, second guessing, and PTSD. 5 star series, to me, but a 4.5 star final book, and that’s just because I love the characters. also FARRR too long of a book for there to be no action
