I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I thought it was a bit muddled at times, but now I'm left wondering what's going to happen next. I thought there were some powerful messages on friendship and what it feels like to be a kid in adult world.

I think this is more interesting and well-paced than Ms. Marvel. I think the art is fun and seeing her inventions through the trade was enjoyable. Not sure why this is on top comics of the year lists. It's probably a great series for middle school comic readers.

this was my favourite comic out of all the ones i've read so far!

i loved Lunella as a protagonist because she was so fierce and strong, she believed in herself and her abilities and didn't let people speak down on her even though she's only 9 (??) years old. i also think she's adorable and I LOVE that little kids, especially black girls, look up to her and dress up as Moon Girl for Halloween and Comic Con and stuff, it makes my heart so happy :')

i also liked the pacing. usually comics or graphic novels are a hit or miss for me because either the action and plot drags on for ages and it bores me, or it all happens way too fast. this one, however, had perfect pacing!

if comic weren't so expensive, i'd definitely purchase the next volumes to continue reading this series because this was very fun and entertaining!

Interesting, I liked the main character a lot. This laid some nice groundwork; however, it feels very much like an introduction to a hero, rather then a complete story arc for her.

3.5 stars. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is definitely marketed and intended for a younger audience. With that being said, it is still enjoyable for an older audience. This was actually really adorable. Some of the characterizations were off though. Hulk was not his normal personality which I didn't like it. I am very excited to continue on with this series especially with the way it ended. I suggest this for a light-hearted action packed quick graphic novel.

Oh the cliff hanger!

It was a little cheesy, but still fun. I definitely plan on reading the next one!

A super fun comic about a girl and a dinosaur! There were a few story elements I didn't love, but for the most part this was a lighthearted and fun entry in the Marvel universe. Very excited to see where this series goes!

9 year old Lunella Lafayette was too smart for her own good and misunderstood by everyone including her family, classmates and even the Hulk (I was so excited for his appearance!). Lunella is a super genius with dormant inhuman genes that she’s afraid of activating because she’s afraid of what will change and how she’ll be treated. She’s already made fun of at school and her only friend is Devil Dinosaur.

Lunella is very relatable and I love how this is kind of a coming of age story as well.

I LOVED the artwork in this! It was so cute and colorful. Interesting origins though and I’m still a little confused about it but I’ll definitely be continuing with the series to learn more.

That cliffhanger??? 🥚
