I liked this book better than the first because of the adventure and the way they used their peculiarities to fight and protect themselves. I loved the twist at the end.

The second book of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children. It took me a bit longer to get into this one than the first, but it's actually a really good follow-up. There is constant action and suspense, the original characters become more developed, and we meet a handful of new, interesting characters. As with the first book, there are pictures to accompany the scenes and characters - I think that's my favorite part of this series. This book takes place in London in 1940, but at the end, the time period changes, making me very excited for the next installment.

So good. I'm very upset I have to wait until September to find out what happens next.

A continuation of the peculiar childrens' quest to save Miss Peregrine and perhaps their entire race, the second novel sees them confront danger after danger and come into their own powers and their power as a group. I docked a star because the photos weren't as pertinent or effective in this one as they were in the first book.

Not as good as the first book but still difficult to put down. A great read.

Absolutely loved this book, my aim is to finish all the books in the series by the end of the year, so hopefully I finish that goal. I loved Jacob and Emma's relationship, like they're so sweet together, and the other peculiars are so funny and nice too (except for enoch but.) I have no idea where I'm gonna find the third book, I'll try looking in my local library, and stuff. Overall, an awesome experience, it's clearly going on my favourites shelf! Five stars x

This book was a surprising and wonderful turn of events! When I read the first book, I loved the idea, but didn't fall in love with the plot or characters. I would have been fine not finishing it. However, now that I've finally gotten around to reading and finishing this book, I am beyond excited to read the third later this year! If you struggled through the first book or didn't see it as anything special, PLEASE continue to this book! It always leaves you wanting more and takes you on an enchanting adventure to save peculiars everywhere. It is a must read! Like before, the photos that accompany the story are truly amazing and add so much to the story. If you haven't picked this series up yet, please do! It is nothing like any series I've read before! You won't be disappointed!
