This second book in the series got off to a slow start for me. It took about 50 pages for it to get going, but then it picked up a bit.

4.5 stars ** In the sequel, pictures are used to shape the plot moreso than for character development. Darker and richer plot development than its predecessor.
Enjoyed it, maybe not quite as much as the first one however. Looking forward to the next one!

Jacob and the gang fight to get Mrs. Peregrine back. Initially, I had to remind myself of the first book, but once I was 20 pages in I was hooked again. This fast paced, high adventure book allows the reader to go from one terrifying moment to the next with the peculiar children.
*Between a 4,5 and a 5 stars*
I first started this book back in July and I just finished it today (December). Although I really enjoyed the book, I had to lower it to 4,5-ish stars because I just had so much trouble getting into it. Which is weird because it had wayyyyy more action than it's precedator!
Again in this installement we follow the lovely peculiars of Miss Peregrine's loop. I found myself connecting with the characters a whole lot more in this one. Since they are quite a lot i found myself confusing them a lot in the first book, while in this one I could appreciate their personnality a lot more.
Overall this was a great sequel that gave us a lot of information on the characters (old and new(Addison <3)) and on the ''world'' or system they evolve in. It improved a lot on the ''action'' side of things, if you like action-packed book you will probably prefer this one.
BUT THAT ENDING THOUGH?!

Welp, Ransom Riggs has done it again. The story of young Jacob Portman and his new world of peculiardom continues with an exciting mix of fantasy, action and romance. Ordinarily, this would be a book to finish in a few days, but due to personal circumstances I had to put it down for a few weeks. Picking it up again, however, was no problem! I was able to dive right back in and quickly get lost in the tale of hollows, wights and a 'road trip' to end all road trips! The story ended in such a way that you're almost forced to get the next book. But, that's not a bad thing is it?
