Enjoyable second part to the trilogy. On to three....

The novel picks up right where the first one ended, and it follows the same peculiar children from the first novel. In Hollow City, the children travel from Wales to London to save their headmistress that is trapped in the body of a bird. Hollow City has more action and adventure than the first novel, especially since the wights and hollows are chasing the children from the beginning of the novel. As the children travel to their destination, they meet numerous unique characters including peculiar animals (like an intelligent dog and an emu-raffe), gypsies, and even more peculiar children. Like the first novel, Hollow City includes intriguing old black and white photos, such as an image of the emu-raffe. Overall, the plot was compelling and there were several unexpected twists. The ending was a cliffhanger, but the third novel should pick up where it left off. I enjoyed reading this novel and I would definitely recommend reading this series.

Let's just say I can never look at World War II ever the same, and I can't also ever think of Miss Peregrine the same.
Oh and did I mention that I can barely compute anything at all right now?

4.5 Stars

Wow; this was non-stop action. A journey across loops; encounters with wights and hollowgasts; in an effort to save Miss Peregrine. The end was messed up. Like, how *^^%#%#$#%%??

Jacob realizes his true peculiardom and it is a whopper. I love that.

So much more information is given about this world and I loved it all. More unexplored locations/loops; the reason the wights are hunting, etc. I love that, too! LOL

So, my ten year old self was browsing around the school library looking for a book to take out, and I see we received new books called Hollow City and The Library Of Souls. I grab Hollow City and my friend The Library Of Souls. I start reading and get all confused... there are a lot of characters and I haven't been introduced to them.

I didn't even realize it was part of Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children. And that it was the second book. (Here's to my friend Lysandra, who powered through the third book Hollow City, also without realizing it...)

What I do remember that I really really loved this book when I was finished. I managed to learn a bit about the characters from the front of the book (There is a character guide.)

I mean, what kid doesn't love a book about other kids with superpowers, fighting monsters? I thought it was super epic. One of my favourite childhood books.

Достойно продължение и определено ми хареса дори повече от първата част. 4.5/5

The perfect second book. It managed to continue the story in a slow pace without it turning boring. It opened up the amazing peculiar world, which made it my favourite book of the series!

Great read! I didn't want to put it down. I read until my eyes dried and became sore.

The ending. Wow. Loved this book as much as I loved the first one. Now hurry up, Mr Riggs, and get the 3rd book out!
