A European Christmas in a castle with a wedding no less?! The only question is—will there be a bride?

This story was short, sweet, and fun! I’m pretty sure it’s the fourth book in the series, and I haven’t read the first three, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment.

Avery being 6’ made me so happy—fellow tall girls unite! Her naturally being into sports felt a bit cliche, but to each their own.

2 stars, I guess?

Why i spent the last few days reading this series is beyond me.

The writing is juvenile. The faith element is cheesy and at times, theologically unsound. The romance is unbelievable and not in a good way.

But it kept me reading and even purchasing until i finished the series so i guess that has to count for something - 2 stars.

Not for me. A lot more religious than I anticipated, and I couldn't get over the 3 young European royal men all happening to
fall in love with girls from Georgia. The siblings make sense, but why the other random girl?
.  I assumed the author was from Georgia, and she was just like super into her state, but she's not, which makes me question the reasoning even more.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a sweet Christmas romance and I loved getting to know the kingdom of Brighton. I have not read the previous books in this seres, but I plan to do so soon. I did find that it would have been more beneficial if I had read at least the first book in the series.

I loved getting to Avery Truitt and Prince Colin and watching them renew the romance that they had shared five years previously to the novel. I felt like the grief that Avery went through over the death of her father was very real and that the author did a good job of showing how the holidays can be tough after losing a loved one. I also liked how Prince Colin had to wrestle with his father's expectations and what the Lord was pushing him to do. I loved the story surrounding the bell and what it signifies. I enjoyed how the majority of the story was focused on God's will for the characters.

This was just a great read, and if you are looking for something romantic and Christmas-y pick up A Royal Christmas Wedding. I am giving this book 3.75/5 Stars because even though I enjoyed it, there were times that I was confused, either because the author didn't give enough description, or it was something that I had to have read the previous books in order to understand.

Thanks to Zondervan and CelebrateLit for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my gosh, I loved this book! Such a delightful royal Christmas story, two of my favorite topics in one book. In looking the book up to write this review, I realized that it is number four in a series, I had no idea until just now. Funniest part is, I own the first in the series (bought it a couple of months ago), but haven't had a chance to read it yet, now I can't wait! Obviously, coming in late in the series isn't going to be a problem for anyone not having the benefit of reading the previous stories, there is plenty of backstory and character development to make the book stand alone. I would recommend reading them all because I bet they're equally as adorable, but if you only read one, well, for the timeframe being Christmas in this one, I'd choose A Royal Christmas Wedding. I do love a good epilogue and am glad one is included, but feel from reading it that this is the last book in the series.

A Royal Christmas Wedding is the best kind of royal romance. It’s swoony and sweet and sincere. And it takes place at CHRISTMAS which – as we all know – makes everything more romantic. And Colin and Avery have amazing chemistry, their history only magnifying the sparks between them. Their eye contact alone is enough to melt snow. Unfortunately, they (of course) have obstacles to overcome before their happily-ever-after can begin. But these add definition to each character as well as providing great opportunity for character growth.

Along with the romance and the overall festive feel to the book, A Royal Christmas Wedding takes a look at some rather poignant issues too. Avery, her mom, and her sister are all still reeling from the loss of their father/husband and each of them is handling their grief in ways true to their own personalities. These conversations and scenes were honest and touching. Additionally, Colin already let his own father waylay his relationship with Avery five years ago. Now that they find themselves back in close proximity, with the magic of the season and a nudge from both tradition and the Divine, he has to choose once again between what his father wants for him and what he wants for himself.

Bottom Line: Southern sass meets royal charm in this deliciously romantic holiday novel. As with Ms. Hauck’s other books, I love that God is portrayed as One who is very personal and still moves in mysterious ways on behalf of His children. The return to characters we’ve already met (and loved) is icing on the Christmas cake, and while you don’t need to have read the other books in the series to enjoy this one, you’ll certainly appreciate a lot of the secondary characters more if you do. If you grew up pretending to be Cinderella or Belle or one of the younger princesses who I’m too old to know (lol), then you absolutely must read the Royal Wedding series by Rachel Hauck!

Avery Truitt is a down home, hard working southern girl. While it's true most people don't meet the love of their while in high school, that doesn't mean it never happens. Avery was thoroughly heartbroken when Colin stood her up and cut off all communication.

Now Colin is back in Avery's life while she's visiting her sister for Christmas and everyone gets all wrapped up in an old nearly forgotten tradition. While Colin is in the middle of this big old pickle, he has to decide whether he will continue doing as he's told or finally grab life by the reins and discern God's will for himself.

I requested the opportunity to read and review this title through NetGalley and CelebrateLit. The opinions expressed are my own.

`A Royal Christmas Wedding` is a contemporary romance novel written by author Rachel Hauck. Rachel Hauck and her husband live in central Florida and she is a huge Buckeyes football fan. Rachel is a New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author.
The title suggests someone of royalty will be getting married. The setting is present day St. Simons Island, Georgia and the Brighton Kingdom.
Avery Truitt's father passed away at the young age of 60. Avery still needed her dad. She missed his cooking, his famous barbecue sauce, and missed his wise answers to her anxious questions. Avery and her mom are going to the Brighton Kingdom for Christmas.
Prince Colin came by his title because his father had fought for and won the name. I laughed when Prince Colin called e-mail old-fashioned. If it weren't for his dad he would not have any royalty privileges.
The story is about marrying one's true love at Watchman Abbey. In order to do so, the male had to climb 182 steps to the bell tower and ring the bell at one minute past midnight, long and loud, declaring one's love. The last time the bell rang was 182 years ago when Prince Michael fell to his death. Is there a male alive today that will carry on the tradition?
Someone rang the bell after 182 years. Prince Colin believes it was God, others believe it was Prince Colin. So will he have to get married on Christmas day?
My favorite character was Prince Colin. Because even though he was a prince he didn't mind associating with lay people. Even allowing the public to throw cupcakes at his nose for a fundraiser.
I did like the book. My favorite part was the fundraiser part when Prince Colin let a young child smash his nose with a cupcake.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes contemporary fiction.
