Just what I needed in a Christmas novella! I am back on the Rachel Hauck train and loving that I have all these book to catch up on! This story had that perfect second chance Christmas feel that was absolutely perfect. I really enjoyed seeing the characters seek God's direction in their lives. It was a story filled with Christmas cheer, and the hope of faith in the One who loves us beyond measure.

This series was fantastic. They was a beautiful way to have this journey end. How doesn't love princess and Southern belles (being one myself ;) )

If you don't like discussions about God or scenarios where God has done a quiet miracle to move things along, this isn't the book for you. But if those things don't bother you, then this is a super adorable little story that is the perfect conclusion to this series. I loved getting to see how things ended up not just for Avery, but for all the characters I've come to know while reading these books.

I received this book from The Fiction Guild with Zondervan.

What a lovely story! I could just imagine it as a made for TV Christmas special, you know, those ones that are super sweet and fairy-tale like? Yes, that's what this is!

We meet again Avery and Colin who appeared in other Royal Wedding series books. But this time we get the conclusion of their story. They met and fell in love when they were young, but then due to pressures (and his father), they parted ways. This story picks up when Avery and her mom return to Brighton for the Christmas season.

My mind was not blown while reading this book, but I think I had a smile on my face the whole time. It's sugary sweet and just the perfect read for me this December.

SUCH A SWEET STORY!

I loved this story! It touched my heart in many ways.
From the heart ache of Avery, to the desire to do what is right in his father's eyes by Colin. They both dealt with laying aside their own desires for their future in order to learn to trust in a God who loved them deeply. A God who wanted their best even when at first it didn't appear that way.
In this story the author wrote in such beautiful word pictures that you could just see the snow falling, the grandeur of the palace, the pomp of the royal life, and the quaint lifestyle of a town where time stood still. I loved this whole series and will look forward to reading it again.

I would like to thank netgalley and Zondervan Fiction for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I read the first book of this series a little while ago via audible, but was not really interested enough in any of the side stories to continue on. However I was excited to read this one as it seems to be more connected to the first book. It continues the story of Avery and Prince Collin who first met in Once upon a prince, I like that you also get to see Susannas' and Nathaniels' story continue (MCs from Once upon a prince).
The premise of the story was interesting, especially the use of the tradition. The ending felt a little rushed because it was placed in such a short time space. I also wasn't a fan of the parts in the tv studios where the text became like a script, it just seemed as if the author couldn't be bothered to write these parts of the book out properly.
This one didn't seem as religiously driven, however there is a lot mentioned.
