Absolutely incredible. Demon is given such a raw and authentic voice it was really easy for me to emphasise with all the ups and downs throughout his life and the relationships he had with the broad cast and characters.

SO many important themes and explorations of what’s happened and happening in modern day America (Opioid crisis, foster care system failures) that are easy to overlook. The book represents so many kids and families whose stories are not commonly shared and the fact that how young they are is so heartbreaking. Truly eye opening and educational.
