I do not do "holiday" stories. I am just not a fan. I adored this story. Short and delicious like a just like a ripe apple.

A snippet of a “romance” novel in which a woman plans a party. The end.

This one had me SCREAMING!! Omg did I love these characters. Lord Sheffield was adamant that romance was not on the cards for him, and yet Amelia turns up and knocks him on his arse. I absolutely adored her. She knew what she wanted and she went for it, no one could get in the way of her plans. The way they both softened for one another and realised that maybe they could let loose just a little bit with one another was wonderful. I really enjoyed this.

I would like to start this review by thanking NetGalley for allowing me to read this fantastic book.
I have given this book 5 five star rating because the writing style was great and I will read the book again as well as recommend it to others or buy it as a gift. It was also a good book for the continuation of this companion series (The Dukes of War).

Plot/Story line:
This was a lovely easy to read romance book. The book follows the stories of Lady Amelia Pembrook, a privillaged woman who's known for her organizational skills, and rakish Viscount sheffield who's cancelled his annual Christmas tide ball because it has been burned down. She decides she's going to organize the whole event at another venue for the Viscount while trying to find a husband. She has decided that it's time to find a husband to encourage her brother to find a wife. The Viscount was hoping to have a quite Christmas period after cancelling the Christmastide Ball that is until me meets Amelia and falls head over heels in love with her.

Character (s):
There was a lot to the two main characters Lady Amelia and Viscount Sheffield but equally as much to the other characters. Both characters were strong, kind, gentle natured loving and determined people whos love story was captivating.

Summary:
I really enjoyed this book and am sure I will the rest of the series. Erica's writing was fabulous as was her world building. The way she described the expectations in the regency period as well as the places and clothing was really evocative and made me as the reader feel like I was experiencing. Especially her descriptions of the clothes as it made me feel like I was actually touching the materials.

Is twelve days enough time to organize a Christmas Eve Annual Ball?

Viscount's Christmas Temptation by Erica Ridley will be answering that question within its pages. I was immediately sucked into this beautiful story. We get a good look into the lives of the Regency era lords and ladies.

Lady Amelia Pembroke

Lady Amelia Pembroke is the oldest of the Pembroke siblings by three years. She is very good at managing things but has decided that it is time for her to find a husband. Lady Amelia is close to thirty-years-old. Amelia plans to use Sheffield's Seventy-Fifth Annual Christmastide Ball as her hunting grounds. However, this won't be happening unless she personally helps Benedict find a suitable place for it.

Viscount Benedict Sheffield

Viscount Benedict Sheffield wasn't in line to get a title until ten years ago when it fell onto his lap. Benedict's life is good. He handles his viscount duties and the evenings are his. That is until Lady Amelia shows up and gets under his skin about helping to get this party underway. He's just as stubborn as Amelia, and they both make an interesting couple.

Five Stars for the Viscount's Christmas Temptation

Viscount's Christmas Temptation by Erica Ridley is a binge-worthy read that you won't put down. Ms. Ridley does an excellent job of transporting you to the Regency era and sneaking a peek into how the rich folk back then used to live. The way that Benedict decided to pursue Amelia was very well thought out and made it fun to read. It is worthy of five stars and a recommendation to all Historical Romance readers out there.

Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of Viscount's Christmas Temptation by Erica Ridley.

A nice short prequel to The Dukes of War series. It made for a quick and entertaining read. I really liked Amelia and Benedict and was amused by the story line. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!
