3.5. A fun twist on the murder mystery.

3.5 stars. Interesting conceit for a murder mystery lover but it didn't grab me.

If this was a show, my dad would totally watch it

This was an interesting book, a mystery within a mystery, but it just kept going. There were multiple times that I thought they could wrap the story up. By the end, I wasn't enjoying the book - by that point I just had to finish it.

On the plus side, I didn't guess whodunnit.

This book is well written. It gives you the same feeling you would get from watching a Poirot episode, but with a very unique concept twist. Liked it a lot.

Absolutely amazing concept for this book, i love that it is sort of a meta analysis of the cozy mystery genre. I loved the book within the book and found both stories captivating. The only issue i had was that i really disliked the main narrator. I guess that’s kind of the point… life isn’t always like the books, etc, but she just bugged me throughout the whole story. Regardless, this is a major page turner and a super fun read.

A whole school of red herrings!!! A perfect summer read that I never wanted to put down, but, alas had to because of minor inconveniences such as “work” and “sleep.”
