I don't know why I'm always so surprised when I find an old-timey book whose prose is flowy and easy to read. I loved this one!

Una novelita juvenil, una historia que hemos visto mil millones de veces en mil millones de versiones audiovisuales. No hay mucho más que pueda decir.
Hay que leer a los clásicos.

This book was not quite what I expected. I thought it would have a fair amount of swashbuckling and dating escapes on the sea. But that is not the case. There is very little action if the open water and only a couple of scenes of fighting. Also, the treasure is sight at the very end of the book. What we get a lot of is talking and mutiny. The book was well written and I did want to see how it would all end up, but I want hanging on every word. I just kind of let the story slide by until it's conclusion.
On a side note, do try to get the audiobook version if you can. Alfred Molina narrates the story wonderfully!

I watched the disney adaptation, Treasure Planet, first and it was fun to go to the roots of it. I knew most of the action (especially Silver's betrayal) but it was still entertaining. Quick enjoyable read :)
My son (11) and I quite enjoyed this book. It had pirates, sabotage, and triumphant heros. What's not to like for a young boy?
I listened to the audiobook via Audible.
Mostly my motivation for reading this is because I love the TV show Black Sails. Also, I love Treasure Planet. However the story didn’t really capture my attention (maybe because I’ve seen so many different movies/tv shows based on the book).
