Hard to review this one. It was good, really drew me in. Subject matter was super dark. Ending felt very abrupt. Audiobook narration was really well done.

I finished this book the day I started it, I couldn't put it down. Was sure it was going to be a five star rating from me until the last few pages, but the ending felt rushed. Apart from that, a really gripping psychological thriller.
I'm fine with a bleak ending and Peter's arc does make sense to me. But it felt like all Sally's character development was thrown out in a couple of pages and it didn't feel convincing.

When I read the synopsis I didn’t know it would get so dark… I’m glad I was reading a cozy romance in between. There should be, maybe, trigger warnings. I got curious about the audiobook, as there’s a narrator for each of the POVs.

"Strange Sally Diamond" by Liz Nugent - 3.5/5
Okay, so I have mixed feelings about this one. The premise hooked me right away—Sally is such a unique and intriguing character, and her story had so much potential. The writing is solid, and Nugent does a great job of getting into Sally’s head. But honestly, a lot of the plot felt predictable. I kept waiting for a twist that would blow me away, but most of the time, I could see where it was headed.
That said, the ending? Definitely my favorite part. It was heartwarming, left me with a small. If you’re into character-driven stories with a dark edge, it’s worth the read—just don’t expect a ton of surprises along the way!
