I absolutely loved Volume 1 of this and was thoroughly disappointed to find that Volume 2 lacked what made Volume 1 so great - focus on character and great pacing. This story felt messy and hard to follow and there were far less character moments in this book which was unfortunate as I wanted more of these great characters.

I really liked this, I really dig the characters, the world, the art style, color pallet, and it's fun and engaging... It really works for me if it just stayed fun adventures BUT what I'm really craving is more world building and substance. Who knows? The longer it continues may have a long going story arc until then it's a fantastic no-pressure read. Love it! ~Ashley

This comic is truly a mixed bag for me. I enjoy the art and certain characters immensely, while the plot can be lackluster and other characters I really don't vibe with. The humor remains hit or miss. The main relationship is not one I'm rooting for or necessarily against, however they just aren't couple goals. The same issues from volume one are repeated here for the "romance". There's a serious lack of character growth, though I did appreciate Julie a LOT more in this volume.

Julie, CT, Manuel, and Cass are my favorites. I am very mixed on Chet. They have good moments, but they also follow a lot of stereotypes that make them hard to connect with.

That being said, I will keep reading because I enjoy the world and the other characters.
