This book wasn’t long, but it was hard to get through it. There were some funny bits, but they weren’t enough to make me like this book.

I found a lot of the characters insufferable with the exception of the Persian. I kept on sighing at every terrible decision the characters made throughout the story. Sometimes, I pitied Christine for having to deal with all that nonsense. I don’t think either Raoul or Erik were good love interests for her.

The grammar in this edition was atrocious. I kept on finding errors in the text that it took me out of the story.

I don’t think I would read this again. I might give the musical a chance, though.
