I was over the moon it to get this book. I can tell you that it started off slow in my opinion. But for the last 30% I could not put the book down. I really enjoyed Jessica as a character. Derrick was very interesting to me. His brother and his mother. Oh my goodness I could not stop screaming. I did think the ending was rather abrupt and how it all ended. The story resolved itself within about 5% and that to me. It was just so fast I wanted more. Overall, I really did enjoy it. And yes I would buy it.

This was a very fun quick read. I enjoyed the characters and how they were portrayed. I did think it was quite insta love but thats ok. I also love the inclusion in this book. I would highly recommend. It got me out of a reading slump

I had high hopes for this one but I don't think witches in books excite me. I just found all the characters kind of boring and everything underwhelming and a bit lost. Something that also bugs me is when it's a dual pov but one of the pov is in a different pov than the first.

It was slow and hard to get into, but then you have a character say they're vegan and then immediately eat something non-vegan. That's not what veganism is. Why even mention it???

I really wanted to like this book, and I really liked 90% of it, but it felt like the whole book led up to a 2 page climax of the story.
The entire book emphasized how the Chosen One would activate the Light Bringer’s powers, and then the Light Bringer read a letter from the mayor to defeat the demons. What???
