Wasn't as good as I remembered when I was a teen but this book was still pretty entertaining. Emma was making a few stupid decisions and I feel like the author just keeps going back and forth with who Sutton's murder is.
I know who it is as I spoiled myself but it's ok cuz I already read it before but.... THE AMOUNT OF GASLIGHTING IS BOOK GOES THROUGH IS INSANEEEEE.... It's not even between the characters it's specifically the author gaslighting you... which is like.... ya ok ik with thrillers authors are supposed to do that BUT FOR 6 BOOKS?!???!?!? BSFFR
Author is Queen of gaslighting fr lol. I hope to finish the series by this year but we'll see.. in the mean time this series will remain as a short palette cleaner as it features a entertaining murder-mystery plot with a side of romance.

I haven't really kept up with this series as much as I should have and that makes me really really sad. I really enjoyed this book. I mean a lot! I have been missing a lot of mystery books and this book is literally amazing. Not like: OMG, WUT. WUT. Kind of amazing, but it was really terrific. I even like this more than the Pretty Little Liars series which is shocking. I love Emma and Sutton. Even Ethan and Thayer and Mads and Charlotte and The Twitter Twins, too. Its really a good, fast read. Even though I don't like the way these books are set up, I end up liking the turnout. What I don't like it that, in every book, there is someone who has all the evidence against them and by the end of the book we know, "ITS NOT THEM."
Change it up a bit will ya, but otherwise. Great novel

Emma is living the life of her twin sister, Sutton. Her sister has been murdered- but only Emma knows. Well, and her killer.
Thayer, a mysterious boy who shows up in her room one night, becomes the top suspect on Emma's list. The pile of evidence related to Sutton's death is growing, but none of it matches up.
This series is a bit of Nancy Drew meets Gossip Girl. I would recommend for older teens, as there is some violence and dark themes. It is both a very fun and a very serious novel.

Meh, the story is starting to get a little bit old now. Like the Pretty Little Liars series it keeps us guessing but I find this format far too predictable. It seems like each book introduces a new character followed by a broken flashback from Sutton that convinces both Sutton and Emma that the new charater did it. Then eventually the flashback is completed and we discover that the character is innocent after all. This is by no means a bad book but I hope something new happens soon to shake up the format. Right now I'm just hoping it ends as soon as possible

These are getting a bit repetitive now, I hope Shepard comes up with something original in the next book. I can't say I didn't enjoy the book because obviously I did. I just wish that the storyline with Thayer wasn't so predictable. I'll still be continuing on with this series because I really need to know who Sutton's killer is. I'm betting on Ethan.
