Lyrical and thought provoking with gorgeous illustrations that somehow echo and expand the text (presented in English and Spanish).
(I find it hard to love Neruda's work with the knowledge that he confessed to raping at least one woman during his lifetime)

Whimsical and thought-provoking lines for page after page. Definitely the sort of book, you let sink in as you bask in the wind under the shade of a tree.

A poetry book written in question form. Beautiful. Paulo Neruda's last work. Fitting.

Probably gonna read it again soon bc now I just took note of all the words I couldn’t understand or names of people and places I want to look up so to properly take it in I’ll reread it with the translated words.

Rupanya memang setiap baris puisi dalam buku ini ialah pertanyaan. Patutlah ia dinamakan Kitab Pertanyaan.
Cuma mungkin saya yang belum bersedia untuk membaca buku puisi ini, kerana ianya tidak memberikan saya perasaan yang mendalam. Malahan lebih banyak yang tidak difahami. Dan ada juga yang bercanggah dengan kepercayaan saya.
Ingatkan buku puisi yang nipis ni dapat dihabiskan dalam jangkamasa yang singkat, rupanya walaupun ringkas tetapi sukar untuk difahami. Memang tak boleh nak baca laju-laju. Dan buat beberapa ketika, saya misplaced pulak buku ni, so bertambah lambat la masa nak habiskan.
Rasanya perlu dibaca lagi di masa yang lebih sesuai.
