This series is definitely starting to build now we are the 3rd book in. Enjoyable and funny, if just a little slow at points.
A fantastic addition to the adventures of PC Grant.
SPOILERS AHEAD
What always gets me about Aaronovitch's writing is 1) His ability to keep everything so fast paced I don't lose interest, and 2) His ability to worldbuild. The Quiet People are an excellent addition to the London Mythos and personally I found it interesting to see how magical entities beyond the Goddesses respond to the Folly. After all, everyday magical people run amuck in this version of London and if the Folly is their version of the cops, it's fantastic to see the real attitudes they have towards that system. I'm also so excited to continue reading and find out more about Abigail.
When I first started this series I wasn't all in about the way the writer dealt with the female characters but honestly, with each book he seems to get stronger at it or has at least taken some constructive criticism. His books are so dead on to the real diversity of London and I'm glad to see he made an effort with including more woman and making them more than Peter's side piece.

Another pleasant foray into the world of Peter Grant. I could have narrator Kobna Holdbrook-Smith in my ear all day.
