Better than the first one.

Seriously, I'm not in the mood to convince you to read this.

Because it's just fucking awesome. If you don't read these 2 books, you are seriously missing out.

Do you like "Downton Abbey?"

If "Downton Abbey" and Neil Gaiman had sex (I mean Downton Abbey itself the place, became personified into a sexy, gothic woman, like Fiddler's Green did in the Dreaming and she fucked Neil Gaiman while he was pretending to be the Dream King), "Gormenghast" would be their love child. Only written even prettier.

So read this book already.

Helluva way to start off my reads for 2014!! My first book finished for the year!

Such drama and pageantry and characters. Peake writes so well. I wouldn't say it's a perfect book, but if you want excellent writing and vivid expression, colourful characters, settings and a plot with tension, I recommend this highly.
So lucky to have learned of this book on GoodReads. Thank you to my well-read friends.
