Great ending

Who killed Mr. Potter and why? That's what Winnie wants to know, much to Colton's dismay. And who is "tall, dark and yummy?" Keller is back and seems unstoppable. Lots of twists and turns to the end. Please give us more of Winnie and Colton!

I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

It is Fall Festival time, and Winnie is as busy as ever. The pumpkin farm in town is having a pumpkin festival, and once again she is pulled into a Murder when Farmer Potter is murdered and the body ends up in her truck. Now the community wants her to find the killer, but the sheriff (and her secret crush) wants her to back off. Throw in an escape felon stalking her and an injured goose that hates her, and Winnie has her hands full.

A fall installment of this fun series, which I've liked more as it goes. This one was pretty exciting by the end.

Sadly I just couldn’t get in to this

Holy Makerel.

So it seems Julie Anne Lindsey is a firm believer in more is more. It just so happens, so am I.

I'm not going to go on about how much I love this series. I did enough of that in my response to the first two installments. That being said, if Lindsey doesn't continue this series, I'll probably cry.

I honestly held off reading The Cider Shop Rules because I was worried that, after Pulp Friction, my expectations were getting t0o high and I would surely be disappointed. Thankfully, it was everything I wanted and more.

Just as it was hinted in the end of the last book, we have a double mystery in this one. That can sometimes make a story feel too crowded, but Lindsey did a great job keeping both mysteries fairly simple so that you could easily focus on both at the same time. Also, the climax of a cozy mystery can sometimes feel very paper ghost, but this one hits hard.

I'm really enjoying the slow-progressing romance in this series. Often love interests in cozy mysteries can feel very hollow, but Colton's definitely one of the stars of this series. I really hope he gets more backstory if the series progresses.

I'll be so ready for the next book in this series if the author and publisher choose to release more. Until then, I'll just have to keep that image in my mind of Winnie and Colton throwing mudballs.
