More violence than romance
I felt that the book was action packed, which is usually a good thing but I felt the actual love story was an afterthought. The characters seemed to have a deep infatuation and it was too instant for me to really get to enjoy the characters. There was a lot of drama involving the plot line but the main characters got along for the entirety of the book, boring me a bit. I simply wasn’t in love with the characters and I really didn’t appreciate the dialogue during the intimate scenes. Neither character could properly say a sentence and it became redundant rather than sexy.

Avcıların büyük ihtimalle yem olarak kullanılacak bir kadın gönderdikleri fikrine kapılırlar. Maddox, kadını bulmak ve gerekirse öldürmek için ormana gittiğinde kız, ona yanında kalması gerektiğini söyler. Kız, yani Ashlyn, çocukluğundan beri kafasının içinde sesler duyuyordur ama mecazi anlamda değil. Ancak Maddox'la karşılaştığında tüm sesler susmuştur. Maddox'un içinde Şiddet iblisini Ashlyn için bastırmaya çalışması ve giderek kadına bağlanması çok hoştu. Ashlyn'in kitabın sonlarına doğru yaptığı fedakarlık ise akıllara durgunluk verir cinstendi.
Kısacası son derece etkileyici ve akıcı bir kitap. "Ee, o zaman niye 4 yıldız verdin?" diye soracak olursanız; diğer kitaplarda Gena'nın çok daha muhteşem şeyler yapacağını öngördüğümden verdim. Buna 5 verirsem, daha iyilerine ne veririm o zaman diye düşündüm. :D

Every single one of these books are amazing! I absolutely love this author and how she brings Greek mythology into a love story and a struggle with your inner demons. I have read tons of books but none of the compare to this series. I'm just dying waiting here for the next one! I recommend this book to adults because, yes, it is a little sketchy. Everyone who reads this I cant image them not liking it!
For a book that’s only 277 pages it sure felt a lot longer. I won’t continue the series.
Poor little, D at Paperback DayDreamer forced me to read this book, aye she said she would kick my ass if I did not do it before the end of October. And I being a scared little rabbit did as she told me.
Ok in reality it was more that she read the series and every time I commented how I meant to start it..again and again. Then finally she asked me and I confessed to needing that kick in the butt to get started ;)
And I am happy to finally have started this series because Maddox was a hottie. He is the kind of man that in reality I would knee him in the groin and tell him that he is not the boss of me. But in the books, all the mine mine mine, just makes me melt. He is truly alpha, a bit of a cave man, tormented by the demon inside him, and come on what more can a girl ask for?!
The heroine, oh whatever, who cares about the heroine when I have a alpha caveman, demoninfested hottie to read about ;) A guy who dies every night and is tormented in hell. But yeah yeah, good heroine, they sparked.
The concept of the series was good too. Pandora's box was open and now they house the demons inside and it is pure hell. They are also people after them and have been for a long time. But of course all these men will find their sweethearts and live happily ever after.
I should say something about what happened, Maddox meets Ashlyn, it does not take long for him to want her, trouble with his brothers, trouble with bad guys, the Gods are up to no good, and Ashlyn and Maddox has some hot passion before them. There you go, and I must say that the last 100 pages were thrilling.
Conclusion:
I hope the rest are as alpha, cos you know I love that. I would read more.

I really wanted to like this. Coming off of Black Dagger Brotherhood, Demonica, and Immortals After Dark I live for alpha men and serious smut and amazing fantasy worlds and I really wanted this series to be the next one for me.
But... no. Just no. Of all the cheesy messes that are this genre, I do believe this is the worst. I barely finished it, all the way thinking things like "She/he did NOT just" and "it can't possibly get any worse" and "Well that was mind-numbingly stupid". Multiple times I had to drag my eyes away from the page to look up with an incredulous look on my face and just laugh. It reads like a poor 14 year old's fanfiction but the sad part is that it's written by an adult who's really trying and made money off of this.
It could be fluff for the right people, willing to suspend brain cells and read this book out of desperation for something, anything, to keep their eyes busy. I am usually very generous with my ratings, and really still wanted to give this 4 stars, but as the story unfolded I found I could not do that in good conscience. The 2 stars are for the world building and interesting character concepts, but not for the actual dialogue, characters themselves, plot, or any of the other kind of important things.
