Beautifully illustrated stories in this big collection hit all the notes for our family. Good for a bedtime story on our trip or to kill some time on the road. We all liked how these animal loving stories are told.

Such charming stories and illustrations. Loved every one of them. I love his style of writing and he's a great storyteller.

Children love animals, realistic warm drawing, stories that are true and being respected by authors and illustrators who know they are worthy of appreciating those three things. This volume is a complete delight for children. Every child should get to experience this book, to share the moments where it is a bit sad and the moments of triumph. If you have children, or grand children, neices or nephews.. or just love animals yourselves.. don't miss these warm and joyful tales.

This was the most delightful book! I loved that Jim Dale is the narrator. I bought the book for my mom’s birthday and she loved it too, despite not being a huge animal lover. The physical book has beautiful illustrations, too. The stories are so cute and fun. Definitely will listen to this again!

Charming stories about animals James Herriot treated as veterinarian. Takes you back to a simpler time.

Such a great book for bedtime reading to your children. Neatly broken up into chapter stories, James Herriot's beloved storytelling comes to life at a child's level. Every chapter is about a different kind of animal or pet that the veterinarian Herriot had an experience with and is heartwarming.
