Not quite as good as The Proposition but entertaining and a lovely. I felt the actual writing was better quality but I felt the plot wasn't quite as interesting. It lacked the sparkle the first book had.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed it.

Couldn't even finish the book it was so bad.
This book picks up where The Proposition left off. Aidan does not know what to do to fix the problems he's created. He's heartbroken. Emma is trying to move on but she too is heartbroken. Emma continues to stay in touch with Aidan's family because she knows they want to be involved with the baby. She avoids Aidan. Emma is with Aidan's dad, Patrick, when he has a cardiac event. She goes with him to the hospital. Patrick creates some tension when he suggests his doctor ask Emma out. Emma likes Dr. Pesh Nadeen. He's everything that Aidan isn't. Pesh is a widow. He's stable and loyal. Aidan is really pissed, but he knows his Dad is just pushing him to fight for Emma. Emma has pre-term labor. Aidan takes time off work to care for her in his home. He wants Emma to see the man he can be. He also finally shares some difficult parts of his past that have made it difficult for him to commit to someone. Emma pursues her friendship with Pesh but realizes that she really loves Aidan even if Pesh is sexy and would be a safer choice. She and Aidan finally get it right. A satisfying conclusion to their story.
Mas é tanta coisa errada nesse livro...
As piadas machistas me deixaram super desconfortável.

Did not enjoy this book. I was hoping for the characters to show some growth and to work things through, but I was disappointed. And the addition of Pesh to the story felt very weird and unnecessary.
Great book! I liked this a lot more than the proposition! I was soooo happy going on facebook this morning and seeing it was live a few days early..I was so into the book that I ended up running like the wind to pick my kid up at school!
So in this book, we see a bit more of Aiden's side of things. There's a lot less of Emma's whining. I like that things weren't "fixed" in a few days like many authors do, just a quick "I'm sorry" and everything is forgiven. Instead, Emma makes aiden sweat a bit. And I appreciate Ms. Ashley not writing in detail of every day they were apart. She filled us in enough and didn't make the reader get bored or frustrated. Anyway, I feel like its more true to life letting things take time. I have to say, I would have like more time with Aiden's nephews, they are hysterical. And Beau too.
I don't want to give much else away, I love the journey both books took us on. I look forward to reading more of this author's work, and especially Pesh's story.

The Proposal is the continuation of The Proposition, and I was very happy to see how Aidan's and Emma's story continued. They were a hot mess there for a while, but their actions were completely understandable.
Hotness galore, and relatable characters made this a good story.

It's essential to read the first book in this series, [b:The Proposition|16062211|The Proposition|Katie Ashley|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1355433171s/16062211.jpg|21850432], to read this book, which is one of my newer pet peeves. IT's all about the cliffhanger endings and prolonging decent stories. In the process, I think it has a tendency the emotional impact. It is a weaker book, and I honestly think this could be edited down to one really good book as opposed to two, but overall, for the cost, I didn't mind finding out how they get to the HEA.
