A Minor Shift starts a new series for Ms. Conall. I love the fact it is with shifter soldiers. Brodie and Eva's story highlights this episode, but we also get the beginning of the bigger story. Can't wait for Shifting Ground to read more about the cult. Five big old hairy thumbs up!

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

So weak, boring, pointless.

It's more like a chapter in a story, rather than even a novella.

Bowie and Eva. He's just back from playing soldier (set in USA). W are told he's a lion shifter, has a group of fellow shifters, one a bear. All soldiers on leave.
He can't forget a female jaguar shifter-soldier, he knew overseas, but returned home before him.
We are told she is now apart of the FBI, is determined to get ahead, etc..
He phones her, she lies says she has a date, can't see him.
He and his bear soldier-friend head over to speak/confront her.
Argument, kiss, argument.
The boys head out for a drink, she heads out to meet up with a female friend, all at the same place.
Argument, kiss, sex.
HEA.
We find out bear boy grew up in a cult and now wants to go rescue his momma.
End of story.

.... Seriously?
So glad I got this for free, or I would be very pissed to have spent money on what amounts to nothing!

As with all of Tabitha Conall's books, I really enjoyed this start of a new series. All of the elements were there for a romance book, but I'm used to Ms Conall's books to have suspense and action in them, so I did miss that. Also I felt that I may have missed a prequel book or even chapter, explaining the connection between the main characters, since they've known each other for a while when this book starts. The connection is somewhat explained in the first quarter of the book, but when details like that are missing, it turns a longer relationship into something that seems like insta-love. But when you're dealing with the world of shifters and fated mates, insta-love is almost expected.

I would recommend this to any PNR fan, and it's a great one to get started on, since it's the first book in a four part series. Jump in and drink some of the Conall-KoolAid!! You'll soon own almost all of her books, like I do! It's totally worth it!!

Fun read!

Fun read! Recommend if you like fast stories with a lot of sexy shifter romance and tons of excitement. The backstories were interesting, would like to read more!
