2 stars. I will say this was entertaining. The elements of what is real and what isn't real is so fun and makes me wonder and obviously makes me question what I think is happening. While I did sort of predict the ending, there are still many elements where I was wrong. I can't say I loved this book but I think because it's the first in the series and it is more of a buildup for the next two which I am much more excited for.

The PLOT TWIST AND CLIFFHANGER???? I GAGGED. Because WHAT IS HAPPENING???? I wonder if Adrian actually knows that Winter IS Lia, and that’s why he hated when she called herself winter, becauseeee I truly thought this man was delusional? This book deals with love, loss, identity, and an h trying to find herself and her voice.
I removed a star for the weird back and forth and needlessly complicated storyline and rushed ending at the tail end of the series.
However, this is a compelling series with a h who really does evolve and develop and grow. The H also changes and is responsive to his h. There is no doormat here.
Couldn't put it down. I loved the back and forth as she tried to work through her mental health issues which isn't something you often see in romance and brought something extra enough to push it from 3 stars to 3.5-4.
