Impossible to put down. Read it as soon as I finished book one. Finished in one sitting. Alana was so fierce and strong!

This book was definitely better than the first one but still is like 60% smut and 40% plot
I also liked the side characters way better than the main fc and mc. This is book that I will only read once and never reread it again personally not for me and also the whole thing with her ex seem so unnecessary. This is not a book I would recommend if someone asked for recommendations

I love this author. This book builds well from the first in this series. I enjoyed the developing relationships. The last 20% was intense and the epilogue was satisfying. Definitely continuing the series
I’ve never read a book with so much sex I swear
Overall the story was interesting and fun. I loved the way the love interests were with each other. I would love to see a book with Lucia though.

This was honestly a super solid mafia-esque romance. Alejandro was fucking insatiable and they fucked for like 80% of the book, but there was also a strong overarching plot too. Alana and Alejandro were a strong couple, and were surprisingly extremely supportive of each other.
Overall, I really enjoyed this and I can’t wait to see what’s next in this world.

The conclusion to Alana and Alejandro’s story. We pick back up in book two seeing Alana return to Alejandro on her own decision after finding out the truth about her father and her arranged marriage. The script is flipped in this second book, seeing Alejandro become insecure due to An ex of Alana’s making an appearance. The main climax consisted of a close-to-successful hit, a deranged uncle, & a kidnapped duo. Things are wrapped nicely in a bow by the ending, including sweet Lucia finally finding her true family.
I enjoyed reading this story, but I felt like it was all over the place a lot of the time. There were multiple plots going on; the Ortega’s, Lucia’s previous family & status of people maybe wanting her dead, Bobby, Alana’s father still being mentioned, a mystery behind Mateo’s shooting, the kidnapping, etc. Some stories felt out of left field, like the Ortega’s. I don’t even know how that came to be an issue for the Montoya’s.
Also, not sure if this was a choice by the author or a mistake by the editor/publisher, but the lack of real quotation marks absolutely enraged me. It’s something about ‘this being used for dialogue’ instead of “these actual quotation marks” that makes it’s very difficult for me to understand. I hated that.
