I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The story told about this precious cat is one to be treasured - and I’m more of a dog person than a cat person :-) take the time to give this book a chance and you won’t regret it. Looking forward to the second book, Dewey’s Nine Lives.

Forget cats--this is a book about glorifying the small-town scene.
"Dewey reminded us, once again, that we were a different kind of town. We cared. We valued the small things. We understood life wasn't about quantity but quality."

A touching book about an extraordinary cat and the positive impact he had on the people of a small town facing difficult times, as well as on the life of his librarian "mom." Have tissues handy for the inevitable tears at the end of this lovely tribute.

I wanted more cat stories where were the cat stories

I bawled on the subway throughout the last chapter. Bawled--like a lunatic. I fell hard for Dewey, the Beef 'n Cheddar gobbling scamp who brings joy to everyone he meets. Cute cat. Cute book. Anyone who loves cats will dig the stories of Dewey's antics and peculiarities. Anyone who doesn't love cats won't make it through the first chapter.
