It's amazing how one cat could have changed so many lives.

Slow moving, but I appreciated the regional story. I never heard about Dewey, and he was only an 1 1/2 hrs. away from me. The backstory of Vicki the librarian definitely added to the interest of the story.
Made me cry like a baby at the end, oh my God. Not a good book for reading in public.
I love cat stories, and this one had the added benefit of a library setting. (Cats AND books?? Jackpot!!) There was a lot a minutiae about life in rural Iowa and background of the town that was boring and skim-able, but I guess that Myron thought it should be included to give the reader a better understanding of the setting.
Anyway, lots of great anecdotes about Dewey and the people whose lives he touched--it's always so sweet to see how one animal can have such impact. A nice read for cat-lovers.
