I liked this way more than I thought I would; I don't know why I didn't expect this since I am both an animal person in general and a cat person. Reading this story made me actually fall in love with Dewey and appreciate my own pets more. It's a quick easy read, but if you shed tears easily, then be forewarned that you will definitely cry with this story.

I love this book. It has become one of my favorites. When I saw it on the shelf at Half-price books, I almost didn't get it because I knew it would be sad. I decided to take it anyway and I am so glad I did. I love the story of Dewey, and even though I had never heard of him before, I'm glad I know about him now. It is such a beautiful story about a beautiful cat.
