I liked a few of the stories, but most were too dark or explicit for me.
With any anthology some are better than others. Like the intro that explained some background on the stories

I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as I enjoyed Fragile Things (another of Gaiman's short story collections). Not quite as many intriguing ideas. I'll definitely try Trigger Warning, but I'm prepared for Fragile Things to be my favorite short story collection of his, cause it definitely isn't this.
A few of my favorites were The Goldfish Pool and Other Stories, Bay Wolf, We Can Get Them For You Wholesale, and Murder Mysteries.
Damn, though I wish he stuck with the original title 'City of Angels' for that last one (it took place present day in Los Angeles, but the meat of the story was a detective story set in a pre-universe biblical city of angels and god).

I used to love Neil Gaiman's books, but as I've grown up, and I think as I have realized and healed from my trauma, I've slowly liked them less and less. It was hard to finish this, the more I read the more it felt like the stories were about violence, and violence, and conquest. Each and every plot had at least one point of pain and suffering that was intentional. Some had rape, many had murder, and none felt new or important or about the victims or orginal.
I think there are people who do need stories about bad things happening, where there isn't a happy ending, or a resolution. But I do not think that these have any love or remorse.
Perhaps I'm just not the intended audience anymore. Or perhaps these stories would be vastly improved by just one iota of compassion.

Library book.
Eh. Might come back to it. Might not.

Recueil de nouvelles très diversifiées. J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'introduction avec la mise en contexte de chaque texte. Du Neil pour adulte, parfois grinçant, parfois doux mais toujours prenant.
