I couldn’t wait to read about jack. I just knew he’d be a softie for the girl he loved. He did not disappoint. Loved both these characters so much and their story! I also loved that they didn’t talk about the age gap and it was known and it was accepted. It wasn’t mentioned that much and I appreciate that when reading ! I also loved how mature Tyler was and we didn’t have a big deal with the brother. What a great story!

Jack has always been the one other people can depend on. He takes his role as team captain seriously in all aspects of his life. But when an accident cuts his season short and he needs help, he has a hard time accepting it. After running off multiple nurses with his surly attitude, he's teammate's little sister who isn't so little anymore, steps in. She's never been afraid of his temper and she's not about to let him ruin next season by refusing to let them help him get better.

The more time they spend together and the more he softens towards her those feelings of annoyance get a lot closer to other feelings. But with Everly leaving soon to start her first big girl job, and him going back to hockey next season how can there be anything more between them.

I have been CRAVING this story since we first met Everly in her brother's book and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. I loved how she gave as good as she got and refused to let Jack run her off. The jealousy scenes were 10/10 especially because he tried so hard to play it cool then just went with the unhinged option instead. The chemistry was insane and I found I literally couldn't put this one down. I read this in one sitting and wanted to go back and read it again.

I am so sad to say goodbye to this team but this was the perfect send off for these couples. I couldn't have imagined this series wrapping up any better than Captain and little sharpie.

Thanks so much to Rebecca for the early copy for review.

This take on a grumpy man liking his wounds was such an amazing read. I devoured this book in 3 days. Jack and Everly have my heart. Grumpy sunshine and above all GO WILDCATS !
