I breezed through the first 4 books far faster than I care to admit, however, I felt like this book dragged on and found that I just could not get into the same way I had the other books.

Listen, normally I don't mind age gap romances within reason. That being said, the age gap between Jack and Everly gave me the ick. At some moment, you can tell that Everly is clearly younger than Jack by the way she handled some things and her attitude which in turn just irritated me. She's fresh out of college (I think?) and she still sometimes acts like she's in high school.

I wanted to like Jack and Everly, but for some reason I just couldn't get behind the relationship. I loved the found family in this and the relationships they built with everyone on the team. But I think I just preferred Everly and Jack as friends than in a relationship.
