First book of 2024! I’ve always felt Emma seems like one of the most relatable, down-to-earth instructors, and her book was evidence of that. It’s amazing how much she and I have in common and how much her words resonated. Light, easy, and inspiring - a nice way to start the year. Gonna go do one of her rides now!

I love Emma, her classes are some of my favorite. While there was nothing WRONG with this book, I also can acknowledge that the majority of why I enjoyed it is because I enjoy her as a person. If this book was written by someone I didn’t give a crap about, I probably would have DNF’d it. Funny enough, I knew quite a few of the stories she told from riding with her, but the ones I didn’t were really pretty powerful. Overall would recommend this book to people who also ride with her on the bike lol.

Listened to the audiobook. Not everyone needs to write a book and that’s ok! It’s chaotically all over the place and very confusing to connect any kind of timeline. 100% blame the editor on that one. We also don’t need life lessons or analogies or lists at the end of every chapter. But when she told personal stories we almost got a nugget of gold.

Part memoir, part self help, all wonderful; Emma Lovewell shares stories from her life, tips that have helped her get through hard times, and the journey that led her to Peloton.
Emma has such a bright and sunny personality on the bike and it shines through within the pages of this book. Between talking about her love of gardening, the benefits of meditation, and her cats I found myself starting to relax and wanting to start moving my body again.
I think my favorite part of this book was the line “you can’t hate yourself into change”. She mentions it several times and it was something I really needed to hear.
Emma’s message is one for everyone to hear, not just Pelotoners. Do yourself a favor and pick this wonderful book up as soon as possible. Both your body and mind will thank me.
